Lodging
Camp Grier has many different lodging options to meet your group's needs. There are tent camping options with shared bath facilities, three bunk lodges with common rooms and kitchens, and two cabins. Our bunk lodges sleep 32-40 people in each lodge with room combinations of 2, 4, and 10 people. Dogwood cabin can sleep 6 people and Holly Cabin sleeps 12.
McDowell County contains some of the best-hidden gems of Pisgah National Forest. Its beauty is rivaled only by its ruggedness and Camp Grier is located in the heart of this region. Our campus is the perfect place to base your groups’ outdoor adventures. Ride or runs some of the best and most challenging trails Pisgah has to offer and come back and relax at the lake or jump into the pool.

Loops of any size can be crafted from the camp that will take you to dramatic views, waterfalls, or summits. Want to go big? No problem. You’re at the base of the Black Mountain Range which holds the highest peaks (Mt. Mitchell) and some of the steepest and most sustained climbs on the East Coast. Camp Grier is host to the Hellbender 100, Pisgah Production’s Enduro, and Tanawha Adventures’ High Country Trail Camp. Other races in the region include Blue Ridge Adventures’ Off-Road Assault on Mt. Mitchell and Jerdon Mountain Challenge.
